A Call To Action – Make A Stand – Have A Voice

ISIS – Islamic State Of Iraq and al-Sham (Syria – and also encompassing Jordan, Lebanon, Israel and the Palestinian territories).

We have seen the devastation this group of terrorists has brought to bear worldwide and the atrocities against its fellow Muslims and of course we are appalled. We can’t understand why anyone would want to blow innocent people up let alone their own people or indeed blow themselves up.

A mass exodus fleeing Syria and surrounding areas, fleeing for their lives and other tortuous atrocities. And of course the opportunist economic migrants jumping on the bandwagon to get a better life – and wouldn’t we all if in their position and the opportunity arose?

BUT I realised that I had no idea what ISIS actually stood for. What was their objective? Why were they indiscriminately murdering around the globe? Strangely I thought it was in retaliation to the Wests involvement in Iraq and Syria….but why turn on their ‘own’ people?

As far as I can tell the news media or our politicians have not spelled it out. The religious leaders condemn ISIS and say that the majority of Muslims reject the fundamentalist beliefs – but what exactly is the goal of ISIS? What do they believe and how have they been so effective to-date?

They have embraced social media and have radicalised young disillusioned men and women, that we know, but what is it they are preaching?

I think you will be as shocked as I am and I fail to understand why more decisive action has not been taken sooner.

In brief, the break-away group from al-Qaeda;  ISIS stated goal is to restore the “CALLIPHATE” which is an Islamic state under the rule of a community of religious scholars guided by a supreme leader, the caliph or Khalifah, which is taken to mean the successor to the Prophet Muhammed .

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi purporting to trace his lineage back to the Prophet has established his claim to be caliph.

This is the thing… Their expansionist aim is in this declaration “The legality of ALL EMIRATES, GROUPS, STATES AND ORGANIZATIONS, become null by the EXPANSION of the Khilafah’s authority and arrival of its troops to their area”.

What does that actually mean?

ISIS issued a document declaring that the new caliphate is established “for the purpose of compelling the people to do what the Sharia (Allah’s Law) requires of them. ISIS believes that ‘anyone’ who does not believe in its ‘strict’ interpretation of Islam must convert or die.

What is interesting is that they are the wealthiest terrorist group in the world according to NBC News. Allegedly gained from protection rackets, carjacking, kidnapping and of course oil.

So why should we be informed?

According to ISIS, denying the holiness of the Koran or the prophecies of Muhammad is ‘apostacy’. These acts include wearing western clothes, shaving your beard, voting in an election and not calling other people apostates if indeed they are. Being a Shiite as most Arabs are is ‘apostacy’ which means 200 million Shia Muslims lives are in danger and live in fear.

The Islamic state is COMMITTED to ‘purifying the world by killing vast amounts of people. In their region there are mass executions weekly. Muslim ‘apostates’ are the usual victims.

Bizarrely as long as they pay a special tax and accept the new governance and deem themselves subdued, Christians are spared the executions.

ISIS truly believe they are living in the ‘end times’ and so unchecked it becomes almost a self-fulfilled prophesy. Because the young fighters who flock to join ISIS are convinced of and believe this to be the case they too will give their lives to the cause. But until the end, Sharia Law must be honoured.

So along with beheading, cutting off of hands and crucifixion’s, women and children are to be divided according to Sharia Law amongst the fighters of the Islamic State. Taking the ‘infidels’ women as concubines as directed by Mohammad is scriptural doctrine.

Conclusion

Thousands upon thousands of people have been displaced, died in fleeing or murdered for staying. The haters around the globe are fuelled by further racism and intolerance (not in my backyard mentality) and frankly we are getting numb to all this bad news, except of course when it is closer to home. France for instance.

IF WE ARE ALL AWARE OF WHAT ISIS OBJECTIVE IS AND THERE IS NO COMPROMISE…WHAT SHOULD WE BE DOING?

There is nothing to negotiate. You cannot have half a ‘caliphate’.

Surely if we all are fully aware of ISIS intentions and we see that the whole world is the target and suicide bombing is the norm, why has an International Force not eradicated these people? If we are aware of the facts surely the average person would ‘will’ their government to broker an international agreement to use force to destroy this evil. After all this is what Army’s do.

Why are we just doing half a job with air strikes only?

How can anyone justifiably say that we should not ‘get involved’? We are! We are ALL the target.

It is clear that the vast majority of Muslims recognise that parts of the Koran and some of the directives by the Prophet were relevant to that time only. Much like the Judaeo Christian Old and New Testament’s.

Is it right that we do not act decisively to cut this evil off at its source or should we see more migration, death and destruction around the globe, living in fear and mistrust until we do do something?
